Writing a wedding blog: no lack of subjects

“Don’t you run out of topics for a wedding blog?”  You would be surprised how often I get asked that question.  Because although I write a lot about wedding centerpieces, movies and trends, much of what I write about is related to family relationships, and the bond between the two people getting married.  Planning a wedding brings old issues to the surface – and the emotional fallout can get complicated.  Many a wedding planner finds him or herself wondering if maybe they shouldn’t have become a family therapist.

So is there enough to blog about in the wedding world?  I think so.  When you consider the emotional life of a family is wrapped up in the lace and the cake and the flowers, there’s always plenty to say.

Live well, and love well.

Blogs we love: Home Sweet Brocante

Home Sweet Brocante is an un-Craigslist – the elegant clutter of a girl in Paris who loves the idea of the American garage sale, so she started having monthly sales (brocante is the french word flea market.)  But the best part are her musings on design, food and fashion. And she very bravely has translated her French site into english so les Americains and other English speaking ex-pats can browse her wares. If you’re headed to Paris, check the site for dates! I can’t imagine a more unique travel experience. Charmante!
