Greetings all, and a happiest of first-business-day-of-the-New-Year to everyone. And to a lot of you, CONGRATULATIONS! There are thousands of newly engaged brides out there just embarking on the voyage that is planning a wedding. In fact a lot of you are surfing the web looking at flowers, dresses and cakes and the articles about budgets, checklists and family conflict are creeping into your bubble. slowly Slowly it’s dawning on you that your friends were not lying – this is a big fricken’ project you’re taking on. And it is going to be hard work, Princess, no question.
But on behalf of My Little Flower Shop, I say Fear Not! There is a mantra that we will share with you now that applies to practically any wedding situation, question or pickle you get yourself into. You may have read it here before, but excellent wedding planning advice bears repeating:
Breathe, stand up straight and enjoy your moment.
Don’t worry and get overwhelmed by the whole process. You’ll take it in pieces, and you’ll hire people you trust (more on selecting wedding vendors in the coming days.). For now, savor the initial head rush of being newly engaged. And don’t forget to adore the amazing person who you’re going to marry. Be well, and breathe!
